Intro to 30 World-Class Innovators - Who They Are & What They Did ...
Description
How can we create big value again with innovation? We’ll cross the boundaries we’ve set up -- boundaries of industry, field, nation, organizational silos, social class, and more. Fertile ground for innovation lies between them, and we'll need leaders and innovators who are broad, deep, and creative, with diverse minds, eclectic skills, and social networks to match.
These 30 “Fusioneers“ have done it. Their stories are introduced here, with a framework and insights, so more of us might create more good in the world, as they have – with Fusion.
Just as nuclear fusion produces massive energy from combining two nuclei, a Fusion in business, technology, and the arts can release massive value -- creating whole new companies, industries, and human capabilities.
This Audiobook/Course is a brief introduction to the concept of Fusion (or "lateral innovation"), with full audio narration of the first two chapters (and their introductory videos). The remainder includes videos and a summary of each chapter. The full audiobook (with all chapters fully narrated) is available on Gnowbe. Print/eBook is available on Amazon.
The material was crafted for:
- Any individual who would like to become "more extremely and uniquely yourself," create the future in ways that are powerful for self and others, and succeed in ways no one else can
- Teams & organizations that need to craft radical or high-value innovations across boundaries
- Leaders concerned about declining returns on innovation efforts, uncertain about organizational survival in a disruptive world, and who would like to lead the radical and new
Takeaways include:
- A new model of lateral innovation – useful both as an innovation process and as a framework to assess your lateral innovation capabilities
- Value-creation examples – lives saved, billions of dollars of savings/growth, and new products, services, companies, fields, and human capabilities
- Introduction to leading lateral innovators -- who they are and what they did
- Reflective questions to help you start thinking about your journey
Time Note: the reflective questions are marked as “1 minute,” you might find yourself thinking about some questions for a minute, an hour, a day, or more!
