“What makes some groups fade while others grow into generations of disciples?”
Description
We are so glad you are here!

In Guiding Everyday Conversations Toward Transformation, you learned to start spiritual conversations through Transformation Dialogue. But what happens when people respond? How do those conversations become disciple groups that grow and multiply?
That’s what this program is about.

In your ministry, you may have seen that some groups take root, grow, and multiply while others meet for a few weeks then quietly stop. If you have poured your heart into a group that faded, we understand how discouraging that can be.
Often the difference is not how hard the discipler works. It is whether the group grows out of existing relationships, whether the right key people are involved, and whether local people own it from the start.

As the Multiplying Disciplers team, we designed this program to help you form groups that last—that keep going and multiply even after you step back.

What You Will Take Away
By the end of this program, you will be able to:
  • Map the relationships and social groups around you, and identify key people who can carry the gospel from one group to another.
  • Recognize eight arenas where God often opens doors for new disciple groups.
  • Plan Group Formation step by step with a simple tool called the Filtering Funnel.
  • Build "sticky" disciple groups that keep meeting, raise up local leaders, and multiply into new generations.

Core Contents
We start where groups start: with people and their natural relationships. You will learn how relationships carry influence, and discover how Bridging Agents connect one social group to another. Next, you will explore eight fruitful arenas for Group Formation and learn to plan with the Filtering Funnel. Then you will look over the shoulder of movement leader Zane as a flat tire in the forest becomes the start of multiplying groups. In another case study, you will see how a village Christmas celebration and three miracles led to a whole cluster of groups. Finally, you will discover what makes groups "sticky."
Each session combines short teaching, real-life stories, practical activities, and prayerful reflection. Each one ends with a concrete step you will take.

A personal word from us
We want to encourage you to go through this program slowly and prayerfully. Don't rush to finish. Invite the Lord to meet you in it.
Some parts may affirm what God has already been doing in your groups. Others may challenge you to take steps to apply changes to your work with groups. Some moments may uncover motivations, fears, or questions you have not named before. That is okay. Growth often begins exactly there.
We care—not only that you understand this material—but that it truly serves your walk with God and your long-term fruitfulness as a multiplying discipler. We hope you will come away from this journey more rooted in the Father's love, more confident in His leading, and clearer about your part in His purposes. In all of this, we hope you gain a deep confidence that He can use you to start groups that multiply.
We are honored to walk with you in this.
Let's continue the journey, shall we?
